magic_tree 0
Did an oil change today, ready for the Awesome rolling road day tomorrow. Drained the old oil, then noticed a few (5 or 6) bits in it, they were left on the draining container. At first I though it was just some crap, and a couple of bits were. But some appeared to be metal. The biggest one was about 4-5mm in length and 1-2 mm in width.I thought after wards that I should have tested them with a magnet to see if they were ferrous or not. I might seive the rest of the old oil to see if there is any more.Do I need to hide under the duvet and cry for a bit, or any on got any ideas? The engine runs sweet as, and has been well looked after. The only noise it makes is down the belt end, the external pullies! Pretty sure there is no chain or tensioner noise. Only use a very small amout of oil.
