Glove box

Hi all. I seem to have a non standard glove box on my 95 Golf VR6. I bought a handle and catch on egay and its completely different to mine. The handle on mine pulls horizontally opposed to vertically on all the one for sale on the bay. Its got a passenger airbag, which I assume is where the difference is? Any ideas? Where can I get a handle or glove box? Thansk for your help,

i had the same problem mate, looked on ebay etc too and they were all the vertical ones.

I got mine from VW in the end, was only about £6, but that doesnt come with the key/lock barrel so you will need to either use the one you have (if you have it) or find a blanking coer for it.

as you mentioned you have a passenger airbag i assume you need a handle for the LOWER glove box - the handles for these open horizontally. the UPPER glove box (you dont have one as you have an airbag) handles open vertically..

go to vw and get one - they are cheap and as said you can swap over your lock barrel and keep the same key
