CanadianVR6 0
Hey guys, after opting for coilovers over a spring and dampner kit, im hearing a creaking noise when steering at low speeds. Ive just installed the coilovers last weekend, and didnt notice the noise till a couple days after?? Anyone else experienced this?

CanadianVR6 0
Ya, changed top mounts and bearings...It sounds as if the springs ar turning on the dampner or somthing, if that makes any sense......When installing the the new top mounts they were fitted directly on top of the top cap on the coilover is this correct? Wasnt sure if there should be somthing between the two as the fit didnt seem perfect?
Mk1dubzter 0
most coilovers have a nut on the spring capwhich your top bearing will rotate on..is there a nut fitted there ???
CanadianVR6 0
ya there is, so im assuming ive got it assembled correctly then.
CanadianVR6 0
Actually, let me rephrase that the bearing is sitting directly on the spring cap, and theres a nut holding the bearing on..it looked like there was a race machined on the dampner shaft for a bearing,
