VR6 DUBBER 0
Thanks for the support,. It's not hard to do and you should try it, as long as you got the right tools and a work shop to do it in, and a handy mechanic who you can ask questions. This is my first ever engine rebuild so if i can do it so can anyone else.
VR6Rich 3
Will keep a watchful eye on this one. Top marks for giving it a go though, would love to mine myself but having the space, time and the right tools/knowledge is what is hindering me. Good luck. BTW what mileage was this engine? VR6Rich 3
Are you replacing all the pumps, etc? What are the plans for it?
VR6 DUBBER 0
I was told mileage about 73,000,As for pumps, won't be doing those as I was told the oil pump would be around 200 mark, bit more cash I have not got at the moment. I just stripped all the valves down and cleaned them gonna put in new valve stem seals, chains and tensioners, new clutch, would love to put some good cams in there but the shrick are way to pricy for me, doing all the gaskest etc, then comes the fun part, taking the 16v motor out and changing front cross member etc and putting the VR6 in and prey to f...k it starts. My mechanic told me that if I ain't gonna try putting it in then he f..king will after all the time i spent on it so far. VR6 DUBBER 0
You need a special round shaped set of pliers, they are shaped at the end to go around them and grip them.
