Recommended Posts

I have sourced schrick manifolds at a tuning company in germany which i belive to be really cheap they sent me a catalogue of all the things they do and they was in there now the question i have is are these with them been in germany for left hand drive cars or do they fit either i emailed the company but they was abit unsure on it now the price which i belive is the good bit and i would imagine if they fit right hand drive cars will get alot of intrest as they are 981 euros which is equivelant to £666 which i though for a new 1 was very cheap your thoughts and help would be great and anyone wanting details let me no

Im sure that they'll fit, if you were to set up a group buy and post it on several forums with the confirmed prices, see how many want them and then get them shipped in a bulk box u'd get the shipping alot cheaper aswel

would it be worth just fitting the cams - whats the diff between 264's and 268's in terms of output? also ive been warned that having steeper profile cams makes the engine sound rough is this true or just crap?

Not a huge difference in output. 268's may produce slightly more top end power but the difference probably wouldn't be noticable. Generally the higher the profile the higher the top end power but you also tend to lose slightly more lower down power as a result than lower profile cams. Good quality cams like Shrick, Eurospec, CAT, tend to provide an even spread in power throughout the rev range whereas some cheaper makes like Kent cams give good top end power but you lose a lot of low end power until you reach 4k revs. You can get slightly irregular idle but I don't get any noticable signs with my eurospec 268's. My car sounds and idles just like a stock car. I assume higher profile cams would make it have more of an irregular jumpy idle but that is only when you start putting in very high profile cams like 288's or above. One thing that is nice/cool is when you go down a gear sometimes the exhaust will make slight popping sounds like a Jap performance car which is normal and caused from cam overlap and unburnt fuel.

Hello Alan,

the price for OBD1 and OBD2 is the same.

I am sorry, 981 Euros is not correct, our (already discounted) catalogue

price is EUR 1375,00

I can do EUR 1299,00 with free shipping, which is around GBP 875,00

We take care of all import duties, nothing to worry about

Thanks,

Freddie
