magic_tree 0
Been fiddling today. I was going to clean my hall sender and ISV but I didnt have any hex bolts for the plastic cover. One of them was too tight to use an allan key so left it until I get some tomorrow.Anyway, As I had the battery disconnected for about half an hour (it rained for a bit and I shut the bonnet and went in) I thought I would try resetting the ECU. I switched all electrics of then connected the battery. Then I disarmed the immobilizer and swithed on the ignition. I left it for 27 mins in total, but all the time there was a noise from a vertical cylinder (Bosch) behind the coil pack. It was a whiring type on noise and got louder and quieter alternately. I thought this may be something to do with the reset but had to switch it off after the 27 mins. What is that cylinder, and is it supposed to make that noise? Should I have left it until it stopped? Thanks

magic_tree 0
Ta. I think it did. Will check again tomorrow. It would make sense, it sounded like a pump now I think about it. Is it supposed to run constantly?
