xyber 1
If you look at this fitting guide for a vf kithttp://www.pocketrocket.ca/vf_install.htmlit shows that the power steering pulley needs to be replaced, but in my kit i didnt get any new pulley? Is this guide a mistake or am i missing the pulley?
VR6BOY 2
i think that might be just for usa, uk kits dont need them afaik
xyber 1
so i take it then the belt doesnt go around the charger pulley, the pulley sits ontop of the belt and spins anti clockwise?ive got 3 fitting guides for the same kit and they all say slightly different things!! arrrggghhhh hahaha! Eat this 2
it deffo goes around the charger pulley i had to put mine backwards around the alternator so the alternator spins tother way
xyber 1
could anyone post up a photo of the path the belt takes in relation to the charger and the alt?
Eat this 2
iirc the belt routes as normal apart from the charger replaces the tensioner pulley and my belt had to go around the other side of the alternator
xyber 1
so does it not matter which way the alternator spins?
cadguy77 0
I changed the power steering pulley on mine, the new pulley lines up better (it has a different offset to the std one and is slightly smaller iirc). i know peeps that have not and they run fine
