spanky 0
I have an issue at the moment that I get a grinding noise under heavy braking (normal braking is fine), but the brakes themselves seem to stop the car as usual and ABS is still working. It appears to be coming from the front nearside, but the pads seem to have abit of life left yet and the discs are every so slightly lipped but other than that everything else looks fine at the wheels. Is it time for new brakes or has anybody any other ideas?
SiGainey 1
Whip the wheel off and see if you can see anything is rubbing?
thegoth 5
And check the inside of the discs and the inner pads. You might have uneven wear.
blackmagicvr 7
sometimes if there is a bit of a lip 2 to 3mm,it can catch on the pad first before hitting the actual main part of the disc, try gsf quite cheep for discs and pads.
