We hope that this weekend will be the most unmissable VW Action event

of all time. 20 years on from the first new wave events, the formation

of the VWDRC, and the launch of Volksworld Magazine,

VW Action is delighted and excited to be at Santa Pod Raceway for the

first time ever, We plan for the show to be a celebration of these 20

year anniversaries, as well as a celebration of everything that has

been integral to the VW scene. If you are visiting VW Action for the

first time, the show is about inclusiveness, welcomes everyone, is

family friendly and fun oriented.

If VW Action had a mission statement it would be along the lines that

we aim to deliver a truly memorable weekend to every visitor who knows

how to enjoy themselves without p***ing any of our other visitors

off... and we will be making every effort to entertain, with no end of

VW oriented activities, displays and car shows each day, and live bands

on both Friday and Saturday night.

VW Action is transferring its familiar layout to Santa Pod, and almost

all the event will be set up on the spectator side of the venue, not

the Dragstrip. If Drag Racing is not for you, you don't need to see a

singe pass. (But if it is - you'll have a blast!).

we did actually announce our date first, the same weekend its been for the last 30 years ;)

what else can we do?

I did ask the E38 boys before they announced their date if it was possible to avoid a clash again but was told no.

If your stuck for what to do, then why not do as a few other clubs are doing and come to VW Action friday and Saturday and leave Sunday morning to hit E38, only 10 miles up the road. That way you get all the entertainment of Action, but only miss out on our Sunday Concours competition. We do however have a daily driver Show and Shine on Saturday.

sadly the RWYB on saturday is invited cars only but sunday is a free for all :)

That could be a bad move :-(

E38 on sunday is their biggest day and I think they will snatch alot of potential people from you guys. The main pull at Pod is the strip and coming down on Saturday to run the strip would have been a great option.

The saturday is a Test and Tune day for full on drag cars and like i said before invited guests. That bit is out of our hands :( Blondie pm me some details and I shall see what I can do

As for E38 snatching alot of our potential, it doesnt seem to have effected us over the last few years :)

cheers

dan
