i wouldn't wire it from the switch direct. If you take out your instrument cluster, you'll see 2 strips of metal going accross the top. solder your wires onto that.

Or, i'd use the feed from the headunit, if there was a hole for the wire to pass through.

get some pics of your dials, d00d

no they just look like mrk4 dials. Olly m8ty, you have drop down dials, my new dials start at 0, not 10 as my orriginal do. How do i get the needle off and reset them so that they start at 0. If i put the needle over the stop needle the distance it drops down is about the same distance from 10-20. So I was thinking about letting the needle drop right down, pulling it off and puttin it back on over the otherside of the needle stop. So it would be reading 0. (or ten on my orriginal dials)

basically, prise the needle straight up very carefully. Two flat head screwdrivers either side help a lot. Then, just place it where you want it to be and push it straight down again. I found that moving it back past where you want it by about 5 mm will put it exactly where you want it when you turn the ignition on again. (they calibrate again or something like that)

hiya mate, yep its dragon green, the only colour for a VR6 (waits for the flames :P).

Yeah they are a bitch to keep clean, i usually give em a good scrub with a sponge and then use my finger to get in there (so to speak !)

I'll put up a pic of my engine in the members rides bit. These new sig restrictions here are a bitch !

After you have the cluster bare to where you can physically touch the needles, grab two small flat head screwdrivers. wedge the screwdrivers under the round base of the needle (one at 3 o clock and the other at 9 o clock) and VERY CAREFULLY push down on the screwdrivers, wedging the needles out. Make sure that you apply the same force to both sides or you will pull out the spring.
