fritzenberg 3 Posted July 22, 2007 Report Share Posted July 22, 2007 right,i got round to fitting my vsr manifold today,car starts up and idles ok but there is white smoke/steam coming from the top of the engine near the throttle body.what the fook have i done?? *-) i did spill a bit of coolant around that area but surely that would only turn to steam if the engine was hot? richievr 1 Posted July 22, 2007 Report Share Posted July 22, 2007 it wouldn't need to be that hot - if you spilt some coolant on the exh manifold or the heast shield it will burn off/steam/smoke at pretty low temp.remember of course the exh manifold gets very hot very quickly compared to the rest of the engine...
