Samson 0
Hi,Im new to the forums and was wondering if anyone could help me with some info on refurbing my wheels?I have just bought my second VR6 but the original BBS wheels need a refurb desperately, only problem is MONEY!!!!Has anyone done this themselves, if so how easy/difficult was it?How do you go about it?They are badly corroded and bubbling but no serious curbing or anthing like that. SiGainey 1
It's not easy as the wheels are so intricate. I'm getting my blasted and then i'll paint them myself - it's not that hard once the old stuff is gone
Samson 0
Thx VI,When you say blasted, do you mean sand blasted? can you get them chemically stripped as ive heard a bit about that too?
SiGainey 1
Yeah, they dont use sand anymore - it's differing media depending on what they are blasting. Ali is soft so damages easily. I just calleda blaster from yellowpages and it's not expensive but produces much better results
