andy m 0
i've just finished my mk2 vr (obd2) and it is hunting really badly. It starts and dies so you have to hold the revs slightly for a couple of seconds, then it will idle ok!if you hold the revs around 2k it hunts really bad and does the same when you drive jolting the car but if you rev it's ok. When you come to junctions and stop somtimes it will die.i have been told that it could be the throttle body? if it is how long do you have to drive it before it teaches itself again? and what sort of driving town or motorwaydoes anyone else have any ideas? blackberry 0
Hi AndyWell done on your mk2 conversion!I had a similar problem with my VR6 OBD2. I then cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner, which got rid of the flat spots and hunting, made it much more responsive, but then took it to an independent to get the basic settings done on the TB as it was idling a bit high. Apparently if you are patient enough, this too would adapt naturally after a few hours of driving!Hope this helpsPaul
