Suspension went on dead easy did it with a mechanic mate of mine in about an hour - was surprised just how easy !!! made such a huge difference to the car, rides so much better and flatter, more responsive as well.

Just waiting for the wheels to arrive so hopefully doing them over the next couple of weeks and hope to have them ready for Edition 38 :)

Apart from that still polishing that bloody manifold :@

if these policemen are so bored maybe they could come down here and catch the bastard who tipped a gallon of gloss thru the sunroof of my otherwise pristine mk2 gti?

seems to me our bobbys down here are just as busy as these boys.

everyone knows who did it, but without an actual witness the 'police' wont do anything.

they asked the perpetrator and he denied it. case closed.

come on boys, i'm paying my rates and taxes. stop buggering about..

Very good Mark....and YES I DO :) .... FOR VRob6....2 things mate....HUMAN........2nd......BEINGS.......thats quite a funny clip man............. sypathy for your damage......but "the police" didnt wreck your car......some little carrott crunching jealous sausage jockey did...you need evidence and just thinking someone did it wont get a conviction as without a witness or grass then your stuffed...if YOU know who it was for sure? go up to him in the street and pour gloss paint all over him and kick him straight in the nuts!!!..... or failing that...."everybodys got to sleep sometime" (6) 2 wrongs do sometimes make a right ;)

Tescos!!!! how can the 2 proffesions be compared? :S.....being proffesional is part of the job...but releiving some stress or mucking about isnt anything anybody else ever does at work is it??? come on just coz its coppers makes no difference.

people put "the police" on a higher plane than other occupations just so they can "knock them down" when it suits as they are the "law keepers"

those guys are traffic police aswell, so those guys deal with long boring days and hours in the saddle or in cars and deal with stuff like serious or fatal accidents and such like day in day out, so i dont personally see anything wrong in letting off steam a bit...its not racist..its not offensive...and its not hurting anyone...besides all of that it may be his lunch break? does everyone get an hour every day? well the police dont!!!!! grab it while you can untill the next call for help of some sort comes!!! people often forget its a 24hr service and whilst they tucked up in bed some people arent!! |-) i think the police in this country are taken for granted due to our relatively "soft" laws...we got it easy here...people just dont realise or appreciate that sometimes

Well said my son!

As for "soft" laws, too f*cking right. This country needs to grow some bollocks and start knuckling down. Everyone is so f*king worried that they might offend someone and end up getting sued, its a joke! People are scared to take a stand against anything that might cause a tiny bit of conflict.

This is down to incidents like the farmer who got jailed for shooting on of two lads who had him scared for his life AND broken into his house! What a f*cking joke!

Another prime example of a warped justice system: Some c*nt breaks into you house, slips and breaks his leg whilst being in your house without your consent.......HE can sue you!!!!!! I mean WTF?!??

Grrrrrr!

You cant knock the sh*t out of some little thieving c*nt trying to steal or vandalise your property......again WTF?!? Bollox to that. You try to steal or damage my property and you'll f*cking know about it!!!

(breath, breath, breath) lol rant over! :)

Personally i dont think its the laws that are the problem, it's the courts. As long as you are thieving chav scum living off benefits and generally causing havoc you get off scot free. If however you are a generally law abiding citizen who tries to protect themselves from said chav scum you will have the book thrown at you.....sigh

as far as the video goes.....absolutely hilarious:) and you must need a good sense of humor to be a police officer nowadays

Well said! We don't appreciate the work these guys do enough and yet they seem to be easy targets for criticism or to be lambasted in the press. Come on, give them a break.

Or maybe breakfast. It's filmed next to St James' park in London and since there is no one else around it must be very early. Probably a Sunday morning just after they've closed the Mall off to traffic.

I agree there Nick, for the moment. But envisage the day, not too long away, where they are nothing but Whitehall's private army. They have already been sanctioned to use anti-terror laws against peaceful protesters.

yeah i know what you mean about the protester stuff Nige......unfortunately the right to peacefull protest is becoming a thing of the past.....as the years have gone by more and more radicals have taken it upon themselves to infiltrate and commit crimes during the protest to express their? or percieved political view or stance on something, these are dangerous people to the fabric of our freedoms and rights.....so much so that during the poll tax riots etc you may have seen the footage near the mall? people apparantly poking long sticks through the bars of the fencing? well i have seen the police footage of that scene and those "long harmless prods" arent what they seem on the news!!! people from the extreme side placed kitchen knives and bladed weopons on those sticks in an attempt to injure or kill police officers!!! now im all for enforcing the law and i dont break it to do it...but if someone did that to me they would get seriously opened up on!!! if i could get over the fence of course ;)

Im with Jester on the "you cant say that brigade" to much of our britishness has been wiped out due to interfereing foot stampers/ do gooders/ and general "glory hunters" usually politicians who opt for change for changes sake, we live in a diverse world but theres too many races trying to change Britain into what they want...its Britain leave it alone...its how it is...its Queen Victoria...its fish and chips...have whatever buildings...places of worship is needed .etc etc..... but dont force it on others to grasp and pay homage to it..and if they dont its racism?? WTF is that about? ....i like most people try to judge as i find...i neither prefer one race to another, i care not for religion or beliefs, sexuallity or or anything else....what i do deplore is terrorists and the scum that seek do bleed and leech the country for anything they can get, the punishments for repeat offenders arent right, and as said if someone who has never crossed the line does, it seems the penalties are harsher maybe because "you should know better"? just because someone was dragged up on a council estate by inadequate sub normal parents who were criminal too dont mean they should get an allowance, i know loads of people who grew up in that enviroment and they arent criminals...but unfortunately the courts "buy" these scummers hard luck stories time and again....we need some of the German and french approaches to criminals in this country..that would slow them down a bit!!!! if your caught in a stolen car in Germany...jail for a year..minimum...needless to say they still have criminals but the way their courts deal with them is hard and fits the crime....failing those measures we could take a stance from the Taliban and shoot people on the penalty spot of the local football field for merely listening to "pop" music? bit extreme but if would serve a purpose in some cases ;)

Surely if it was a truly peaceful protest the police would not get invloved and we would not see the scenes that get bunged on telly. You are spot on when as you say people who are deliberatley looking to cause trouble infiltrate these protests and turn them around for there own means.

to much of our britishness has been wiped out due to interfereing foot stampers/ do gooders/ and general "glory hunters" usually politicians who opt for change for changes sake' date=' we live in a diverse world but theres too many races trying to change Britain into what they want.[/quote']

Again I am not a member of the BNP or anything but I do think we need a cultural identity. I love living in a diverse and multi cultural society and applaud the fact that we do tolerate and embrace other cultures. However as Nick says this is Britain and I find it ludicrous that you cannot express your Britishness without being accused of racism. We need to be tolerant but I think sometimes we are too soft for our own good.

And to think a little video showing the light hearted side of a couple of bored police officers has ended in a full on political debate - I love this site :)
