craggsy 91
Resized pic and never seen it done like that before. If its split then Ford do a part that will fit and cheaper than VW
xyber 1
A valve that runs the the intake pipe just before the throttle body and is also connected to the vacuum pipe on the intake manifold, they always break. Ford do them the cheapest, about £25 compared to VW £

manzi 0
can this be easily unplugged and replaced or am i suppose to be expecting it to be a messy job?
thegoth 5
It'll be a bit oily but it'll only be surface grease. There shouldn't be any oil, or other fluids, running through it.
philbatesvr6 0
i jus replace mine with a bit of hose and blocked off the vacume pipe cost me nothing lol and still does the job fine
manzi 0
how the hell do i put those clips back on?i don't have to right tool i guess and i don't know what tool to use. tried using pliers but didn't wanna risk snapping the crank case breather.
thegoth 5
Just replace them with some suitably sized jubilee clips
Jk* 0
I found when i bought the part from ford it wasnt actually the right shape. The VW is S shaped, where as the Ford one was straight, did for the time being until i sourced a second hand VW one!
manzi 0
i didn't think it looked right. there seem to be a lot of stress on one part of that component.
