Engine fitting

Looks like if maneged to find a decent obd2 engine to replace my knackered obd1. I'm hoping to get everything for the chamgeover - but what other bits do i need apart from engine, loom, ecu?

Any help gratefully recieved.

easier to convert the engine to obd1 (so use all your existing engine loom and ancilaries)

What would you have to change on a Obd2 to get it to work as an obd1 ??

is it a straight forward swap ??

manifolds, injectors, all anciliaries, engine loom...and if your obd1 is dizzy that as well.

actually, not the injectors probably...just plug the new engine loom onto them.

the question is ..

i have a obd2 engine in the garage.

the car is obd1 but the head gasket is gone ..and its a auto box which is knackered ..

would it be easier to do the head gasket and the box on the obd1 or convert the obd2 engine with the manual box ??

Any ideas ?

most modern auto boxes are tieded in electronically to engine ecu not sure if obd2 is i get a few customers with auto boxes on vrs ill check but you would need all the shift gear trims brackets flywheel clutch and box so probably cheaper to fix old one.

ive got all the bits ..linkages flywheel clutch ,pedal box ect ..

i just need to decide weather it's easier to change the obd2 to obd1 or fix the obd1 and attach the manual box to it ...
