hellsVR6 0
And I think the answer to that isYAAAAAAY!!! lol...I am no longer the owner of a screechy whiny VR, just a nice lovely rumbly thundering engine.Wanna see the offending part?? Melted out of all recognition! The garage showed me the tensioner this morning...ohh errm it was KAPUTT!!But here's the belt the AA man rescued,,..But, as I mentioned earlier, the nice men from the Highways Agency left my bumper lip in the road. Today I also realised they ripped off both the sort of grilles that sit under my fog lights as well for some strange reason. One was found and has been temporarily 'glued' back on but the clips are broken but the other one is gone. So that's 3 new bits of car I need to get it back to what it was yesterday! Breakers yard trip methinks???
Buzzark 0
Probably a few people on here breaking mk3's have a look in the for sale forum.I expect they were looking for a towing eye behind one of the grills. Be grateful they didn't sling a chain in one window and out the other .

purple highline monster 0
KAPUTT? whats that.... your tensioner is a makintosh or/raincoat? thats waht Kaputt means in German!! Just joking glad its all fixed without any other damage.......i would go direct to the AA themselves and request THEY buy your missing trim as it was them who lost it and are insured against damaging peoples cars!!!! ...mmmm...i wonder if they give themselves upto 40% discount on insurance? hellsVR6 0
It was the Highways Agency that dropped the bits off my car. They already have an email asking for compensation, don't you worry!Blood and stone spring to mind...tis the Govt after all. I can but try though! And I always thought kaputt meant 'knackered' in Deutsch! Well it was 20 yrs ago I did German O'Level...err..lol
