TG - Did you hear back from the hotel yet?

Yes, but they didn't offer a discount. But it's normal price isn't bad compared to UK hotels, E45 PPPN B&B.

We can book now with them directly ( http://www.goldfass.de/htm/reserv.htm ) but then we would have different cancellation conditions than if we waited and booked using an internet engine ( http://www.tkn-rlp.de/tosc.asp?OC=EIFEL&RG=IT&ID=95001186&FN=Show&FC=HO ).

My suggestion for making the hotel stay cheaper is to eat at one of the pizzerias between the 'Ring and the hotel and spending less time in the bar!

That's good new.s.. I want to book asap any idea when the engine will accept bookings or shall I just go for it now?

Thanks for the ££ saving tips ££ :-)

I booked using the internet at the start of December last year. I'd expect it to be the same this year. The car park was busy at Easter but I didn't see many people around the hotel ( perhaps they where busy being German and having early nights and early starts). So I doubt it was full.

Saying that the hotel food isn't over the top expensive. IIRC about a tenner for a steak. But over three nights it does add up. It's the bar that's the real killer, the Bitburger does go down so easily and it's a lot more expensive than you can get it for at Lidl.

What about us hardcore who are camping ?? do we need to book a pitch or is it just turn up and grab a space *-)

Hardcore is the phrase indeed. I was thinking about it before camping at the Pod last weekend. +o(

Just turn up and grab a space. No worries about it being full, it's a monster of a camp site. http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=50.323091&lon=6.939579&z=16.6&r=0&src=ggl

The entrance is at the bottom and the restaurant ( and pallet shop ;-) ) are at the top near the GP circuit

Ok I will take the bait - at the risk of sounding like a complete thicko again :) why is there a pallet shop ??

So that English hooligans, sorry VR owners, can steal them whilst distracting the guard. All hear say obviously as I was tucked up in a nice warm hotel room and didn't need to burn anything to stay alive.

just been to a RR day today. i am really pleased about my results.

At the WHEELS.

BHP- 152.69

Torque - 152.09

At the Flywheel is approx 185bhp. but at the wheels is more important in my opinion and more accurate.

Air/fuel is bang on all the way through the rev range.

Really glad engine is in top notch. means i dont have to worry too much about it before we go.

Standard OBD1 with drilled airbox. and thats it!!!

Just waiting for coilovers to come and i wont be far from done.
