C3 LJG 0
Quick PS of what they should look like when on. They will be mirror polished tho and possibly have the holes done in black?
C3 LJG 0
Have added a few bits to the golf over the past few weeks. Got a polo gear knob and a set of TT pedals fitted inside and gave the leather a good clean. Picked up a set of FK bumper vents at OE at the weekend and fitted them today.Have also started working on bits for the engine bay to start tidying that up. My old bezza engine bay was full of polished/chromed bits, have decided to keep the new one black with polished/chrome accents. When i sold the bezza i keep the polished header tank and All Smiles washer bottle.I have had them powdercoated black and will be using polished caps on the tanks, just need to order the one for the header tank. C3 LJG 0
Got them from the local Audi dealer paid less than £30 for them, they go for more on ebay!!If you order some you will need the normal clutch, brake pedal covers but you will need to order a LHD accelerater pedal. C3 LJG 0
Been messing around with the VR lately, thought i would start to tidy up the engine bay as it was looking a bit of a state and after fitting the new header tank really showed the rest of it up!! (the red bit of hose will be replaced with black as soon as i have ordered some more!)Started by removing air filter and covering a few bits, then went at it with various degreasers/engine cleaners and an assortment of brushes/cloths!! Didn't do much for the road  Once i had got rid of a lot of the crap dressed all plastics, polished the air com pipes and added a polished cap to the power steering tank, also fitted some chrome wing bolts i had left over from the cupra. C3 LJG 0
Spent a few hours on the VR this morning, as the tax ran out on New Years eve and i am not going to tax it for a few months as it will not really be used while the weather is poop. This is probably the dirtiest one of my cars has been in years!!!!!So after a wash and a quick going over with some polish and wax just to keep it protected while she is undercover there will be a full detailing session ready for the show season. And now tucked up under cover in my car port.Got a few plans for it while its off the road and hopefully a new set of wheels as soon as i can find some money!!! Phat VR6 3
Hello, Your car looks realy good, When I first saw your rear lights standard I was shocked, Thought you where going to fit them like that but look wicked in red, Realy like them.I never have the patience to wash my car well, to be honist I donno how to, Tends to be a quick wash with a bucket and some car shampo or even worse a car wash lol bet you don't like the sound of that! I tend to treat mine abit ruff, drive it abit hard, gravel, mud pudles ect lol but after my respary this is going to change. Can I ask how much it costs to get a car detailed? When I start taking it to shows I want to get it done! Its going to look wicked on the new wheels and coming along nicecheers Tom
C3 LJG 0
A full paint correction job you would probably be looking at anything upwards of about £200 most people charge between £25-£35 an hour so it would depend how bad the car is and what you want done.If you want to get it done at anytime give me a shout and we can sort something out. (its my job)
C3 LJG 0
Well the merc rims got sold on as i decided i wanted some 17's instead so have been looking out for some rims but not sure what i want really. Anyway after a quick call from my mate rob saying there was a set of TT rims going cheap on the bay i put in a bid and won for £123! NOt exactally the most original rims on a mk3 but will do for the time being and will add a bit of bling once they have been polished. On the car with the standard 225/45/17's soon to be changed for the tyres of the RS6 rims. Also need to get some spacers for the rears. Finally got round to getting the ends of my strut brace powdercoated black and being fitted with stainless allen head bolts.Pics not the best but will get some more when the wheels have been sorted. Also got a few other bits to be sorted before she is back on the road at the end of the month.
