Buzzark 0
I realise this is flying in the face of public opinion, but I like the plastic arches!I've also got a bit of rusting around the front arches which I will take care of but want to cover this up.I bought a set from GSF over the counter yesterday but they just don't fit, not even close at the rear and fixable but not perfect at the front. They'll be going back next weekend, so is there anywhere I can get a better set from? craggsy 91
Strange one but try taking the kit from someone who is going the other way. Plus if you have fully painted bumpers coz I cant remember what you have, they will need changing as well. As they look stupid with textured arches and fully painted bumpers
Buzzark 0
I like them with or without tbh and if the body was galvanised and not prone to tin worm I probably wouldn't bother.Got a lot of expenses this year with the house and I don't really want to be replacing the wings etc just at the moment.May paint the trims later though depending on how I feel after they're fitted. Buzzark 0
Thought about what you said Craggsy and you're right. Starting with fully painted bumpers and trim on a highline would mean that it just wouldn't look right fitting textured arches.Of course I could paint the arches to match and that would look fine, but by the time I've done that cost and time wise, it would probably just be more sensible to replace the wings if that's what's required.Bought a pair of the front mudflaps today as this appear to be the cause of the damage to the wings in the first place.I'll pull the wings off individually and asses whether I can completely treat what appears to be surface rust or to replace. That's probably the most logical way to go about it - cure the problem, not work around it.
