dragongreen_vr6 0 Posted September 11, 2007 Report Share Posted September 11, 2007 does anyone know of a step by step guide to do the timing chains, i couldnt really b arsed to do it myself but after im gettin quotes 4 £750 includin clutch!!! nooooo way am i paying that!! unless any1 else knows of a cheaper place in the midlands that isnt stealth (not knocking ther workmanship at all - i jus cant afford 750 at the mo!!)Thanks Link to post Share on other sites

Samson 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Share Posted September 25, 2007 When you are changing the clutch, the whole of the timing chain is exposed anyway so it is an easy job. The only diffcult part is making sure you keep the timing in check, but both cam shaft sprockets have indicators on them anyway, just keep crank in the same place. Would not pay £750, or even £500 for it, well over priced, you need the gearbox out anyway for clutch renewal. Link to post Share on other sites
