Mr.G 0
Hi all, Any advice on where to get some of these rare lights? I've looked about on the net and have come across 1 set. But they've been sold.I also found http://www.empiregfx.com/shop/home.php?cat=289 where if you had standard CL lights you can make red ones from these overlays. I think Hellas would look much better and more OEM though.Any advice greatly appreciated!CheersMr.G

Mr.G 0
How do you make your own? Using the overlays?
Earwig 89
Hella ones are a bit to "Pink" for my liking. Especially when the sun catches them !You can make your own with a special laquer and a set of CL rear lights. Will take a pic of my rear lights to sjow what they look like. They are a lot more "Cherry" than pink :-)Mark.
Mr.G 0
Pics would be excellent and also maybe a write up of how best to go about achieving the perfect set of all reds!
SankysVR6 1
These are mine even rarer then the Hella all red ones.Hella red/black/red[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1189605086_611_FT195110_sp_a0318.jpg][/lightbox]
C3 LJG 0
I tinted a set of crystal clears then laquered them, gives the look i wanted. Bit more up to date looking than the standards. Now matches my mk4 look headlights and crystal fogs/indicaters/side repeaters.

cav 0
I just made my own!GSF in portsmouth have got a set of hella m3 style ones.question is though.. does the indicator flash red or yellow? my bets are red they do look good though. Only thing i have found, is me and jay renshaw did his on the mk4 and the red can fade away, but we did lacquer them as well. Not sure if that makes a difference.
C3 LJG 0
Yeah they do flash quite red, but a bit better now with orange bulbs, may try some led bulbs, but from directly behind they aren't to bad.Have kept the old ones for MOT time tho! I used a whole can on the two lights and about 4/5 coats of lacquer so hopefully they will be alright, i only had a problem with them fading on my ibiza when they were unlacquered. Have to wait and see 8-|
cav 0
ye deffo... do look spot on thoughi am about to LED all my rear lights, side indicators and front indicators and side lights.. For the rear indicators you will need 1 load resistor per side. this picks it flashing normally.
