ob1 0
thanks helpful link! in actual fact the fault code is; VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-SControl Module Part Number: 021 906 256 Component and/or Version: MOTRONIC M3.8.1 HS V02 Software Coding: 00000 Work Shop Code: WSC 013151 Fault Found:00515 - Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40) 29-00 - Short to GroundSo i presume this is the sensor itself ? do need to realign the throttle body after changing? can i do that with unregistered vagcom? thanks again o
VR6_Absy 0
short to ground could mean the plug is not seating or break in the wiresensor is not expensive
Kaz 0
Camshaft sensor was gone on mine when I got it, replaced it with a second hand one from a breakers I know and it's been fine ever since. Makes the car drive odd though, no low down grunt. The MAF you can get from GSF on a part ex, about £80 for an OE Bosch one.
