The "Peace Cup" in 2005 doesn't count...Seriously tho, all the other teams in the semis treat the carling cup like a training session for young/reserve players, tottenham played their full strength side. Are you not embarrassed by that a little? By the reaction of the players after the semi win and the final, you would think they had won the double! I think you'rer referring to Ray Houghton of the Republic of Ireland who scored against Italy in the 1994 World Cup (for which England didn't qualify if I recall) - I am from Northern Ireland, who, if I also remember correctly, beat England the last time we played you. We also won the last British Championship to be played, and with a population of 20 times less than that of England, have done considerably better than any other home nation in any World Cups or Euros. Shinty, by the way, is almost exclusively played in the Highlands of Scotland, and has nothing to do with Ireland. And you wonder why the Gaelic nations can't stand the English...? Surely winning the Worthless Cup does not make up for finishing in the bottom half of the league and you will probably be almost 40 points behind us by the end of the season and after spending all that money !!
