turbo_ted 0
does it make much difference? (ie can you actually notice the difference on the road? or is this one of those mental things where you 'think its better').
Ciaran 4
it is meant to be better for your engine and make your car faster i have never noticed a difference but i still give her a treat sometimes

craggsy 91
Its expensive tho in Leicester.......I usually use super unleaded from tescos or sainsburys
ZoeVR6 0
Its expensive tho in Leicester.......I usually use super unleaded from tescos or sainsburysPersonally we (me & the hubby) won't touch tesco's or sainsbury's - we currently have a Starlet GT Turbo that runs on nothing but Vpower - that's what the VR6 will be treated to from when we pick her up. We generally pay between 100-104 per litre - have been known to pay more or it at motorway services
pimpcat 0
shell 95 ron is good enough

binliner 0
It's about £1.05 here! I use Tesco super... car seems to run well enough on it, it's cheaper (especially with those 5p a litre off vouchers!) and get clubcard points

Buzzark 0
The Tesco 99 is a very good fuel by all accounts.Made by a small bio/green fuel company but reaches it's rating through it's highly refined bio part rather than an octane booster.Read an independant lab test report on it and from a technical point of view was rated above Optimax and BP Ultimate, pre V power though and there wasn't much in between any of them really.I use that or the Esso 97 personally.Edit: The 99 Tesco isn't from the same supplier as the other Tesco fuels... mannie 0
Talk about octane booster, did anyone see the " Fifth gear "program on "octane booster additives" that you can buy of the selves ? The results was very interesting to say the least, not only No power was gain if anything there was a power lost in every Brand they tested.
Buzzark 0
Damn, I missed that.Don't really get to watch 5th gear, I think I'm out when it's normally on and forget to record it.
Cowpatmatt 0
i dont see any point on using super unleaded. waste of money on a standard car. Different story for high tuned or super/turbo charged car.I got 185bhp on normal 95ron on OBD1 so cant be bad.
apd 0
found on a vr sc et up,that v-power has no equal!throttle response,in gear acceleration-faster pick up/pulls stronger.the bp,tesco etc..etc.. is much of a muchness, but a lot better than the 95ron crap.the v power doen't last as long as the other superunleaded-but that's the pay off? philbatesvr6 0
i fill mine up with v power i worked it out it only cost £4,50 more to filla tank with that than the normal stuff
tinny22 11
does the v power keep it clean on the in side or is it bull shxxtinny22
Buzzark 0
It has detergents added so it should do.Probably works out more expensive using it just for the detergents than adding a branded detergent when you fill up or every now and then though.
