VR6Steve 0
I believe the wings are identical. They do just bolt on and off, but it might be easier to let the bodyshop paint them then fit them?Yes you can buy them with vents already pressed is, try somewhere like Venom Motorsport. Phil 0
If they are the same as Mk2 ones they just bolt on and off. The hardest bit, is getting the underseal of them. Make sure you that when you refit them, you underseal them too. Also, take care when you are lining them up............don't want any dodgy panel gaps.
Bampson 0
a bit off topic but .. i was told that the MK4 Cab is actualy a facelifted MK3 so if you put MK4 Cab wings on you can fit the MK4 bumper (R32 style ) can anyone confirm this ???
binliner 0
late mk4 cabs were mk4 look mk3s... you'd need the wings, grill, bonnet, headlights and then the R32 bumper... Im pretty sure a genuine R32 bumper is about £1000 or something stupid like that!
nickbee 1
Would the R32 bumper fit though? It might bolt on to the wings OK, but I think you'd be asking for trouble.
VR6Steve 0
I'm with Nick on this, not convinced it will fit. I also thought you needed the Mk4 Cab slam panel as well?
Bampson 0
but a with all VW's the bumper fits to the slam panel so provided you have a mk4 cab slam panel it should work.. would be a different look for sure ..
MarkGolf 6
Get a mk4 cab front end and you can put any mk4 stuff on the front...If you get geunine mk3 wings, tehy will go on perfectly and they just bolt on...If you go for a wing with a pressed vent like mine, they aren't a great fit and take loads of messing about with to get fitting right...You have to get someone to lean on it while you do it up. I've not put mine on properly yet and it's not sitting right at all..
