Siko 0
hey guys, can charged VRs be used as a daily? I don't personally know anyone who has one, but reading on the forums no one drives it as a daily. Is that because the running costs are too high? Thanks!

rodney 17
Yes!Engine wise no issues as long as built and maintained correctly Oil, warmed thro' etc etc etcThe big question is more about - - - Can you afford the fuel bill??? Which in turn is how light is your right foot!I still get 30+ on a run but LOTS less around town!
adamsimmons 0
I use mine as a daily driver. It's been very reliable and have had no probs, until my headgasket went on the weekend, but that was due to a very heavy right foot, and giving the car a bit too much abuse than it usually has but otherwise it's fine, other than the fuel bill
coxy 0
what kind of mpg you getting. i average 24-25 in town 30 on a run

Eat this 2
yep fine if u look after it my mpg actually got better with the charger
rodney 17
My MPG improved until I use the right foot. I get a good 34 on the motorway at motorway speeds. Around town if driving normally I still get better than 22mpg.If using right foot around town lots I can get single figures quite easily. Likie the guys say it's all about the right foot usage. How much self restraint do you have
jaysVR6 2
I used mine as a daily up until last March. It's the coilovers that I couldn't live with every day.

xyber 1
Mines even smoother and yes, the MPG is really improved with normal town drivingJust keep your oil and filter nice and fresh and sort out extra oil cooling and it'll be just as reliable as standard reallyMy only sugestion would be if you gat a stage one kit you get a bosch recirc valve, replace it soon as its crap and i think i was loosing a little boost thru it, so I swapped to a forge 007 valve and they are bomb proof and dont leak
