Guest tom_p_2000
Hi guysI'm looking to get a vr6 golf but all of them seem to have quite high mileage. I know vw engines are very well built but am i better off shelling out a bit more cash for a low mileage one (considering i want to supercharge it) or are the high mileage cars just as good?Tom
jesterwalker69 0
I got a 96 N plate with 111,860 and it appears she pushes out 206.2bhp with just exhaust and induction kit.... go figure!I wouldn't write off the idea of a well maintained high miler. Save you a bit of cash so more to spend on the charger etc

scampi 0
As said, if they're well maintained I can't see it being too much of a problem.
jims13 6
mine has now done 165,000 miles with a trip to germany and back.. ive done the engine mounts , and new shocks, and a clutch, but the clutch looked like it may have been the original. like anything regular oil changes are the key, and no thrashing from stone cold, i think my top chain guides may now need changing, but thats not to bad
