Electric Supercharger!!!

Recommended Posts

I asked this question on tuesday, and most people said it was, how to put it, A LOAD OF S**T. I just want to see one working! Someone said on here that this guy put one on his saxo, and the blade broke off, and went in his engine causing damage. I really don't know what to think with these "superchargers", but i don't think i would risk paying that money for a load of s**t that doesn't work.

Mate you should have a look through the other threads before asking a question as most have already been asked ;);) especially about useless products on fleebay !!

Thanks Ben, I did spend quite some time looking through a search using "ETS Supercharger" nothing came up. Sorry to have upset you.

Robin.

seriously, years of research and engineering went in to whats on the market atm (superchargers and turbos), then these shiity electric units pop up and everyone asked if they are any good. To rotate an electic unit to near the speeds that the sellers claim these units produce is laughable.

Engage your brains peeps

Typically a REAL supercharger needs to force air at 30KG/s at full speed into a VR6 engine to get good results (See Rotrex's website). These fans are NOWHERE near capable of that. Plus the blades aren't sealed to force air through, they just waft it down, so any excess air pressure will just push back past the blades. Rubbish!! And I can't believe these things actually sell! There's another product on e-bay that's even worse. It looks like a saw blade bent into a circle, then had all the teeth bent into the middle. They claim that you put it on the end of your air intake, and it creates a vortex which magically increases your performance by up to 10%, and if you install 3 of them at once,it ups it to 30%!!!! Rediculous!
