ThermalP4 1
Just had my milltek system fitted and back box doesnt sit level, its on a slight angle. The rubber mounts have persihed and are weak.I've heard powerflex mounts are good but some say they melt. Also somrting about the S3 exhaust mounts?Anyone know anything about these? mannie 0
I used H*lford mounts £1.25 each on my jetex3 box,no problem what so ever .
jaysVR6 2
Common on Milltek's I'm afraid, one of the worst fitting exhausts on a VR IMO. I've had mine completely cut and re-welded to make it fit correctly.
ThermalP4 1
Oh great.Just spent over £400 for the worst fitting exhaust thinking it was one of the best.LOL!There we are.
H19LNE 0
Thats why i chose jetex over a miltek exhaust when i was gettin my exhaust on my VR.
ThermalP4 1
Very poor fit.Dissappointed to say the least.Live and learn i suppose. Big names not always the best.
Toby 0
very odd - my Milltek is the best fitting exhaust I've ever had on a car (and the guy who fitted it for me said the same too). no mods to it at all...
ThermalP4 1
I was underneath the car when the mechanic showed me. Seems the rubber mounts are weak. looks like if they were stronger it would tighten things up a bit.
Toby 0
yeah, I don't get any knocking at all on mine, maybe my mounts are just decent at the moment and they'll degrade over time but certainly worth replacing yours to see if that helps
mannie 0
The xhorzt should be Hang and not Fit to the car.Did he/she Hang and position your xhorzt in the best position before tightening the clamps ? and Yes ,it does make a difference.
ThermalP4 1
Dont know how exactly he fitted it but there's not much room under there anyway.Might take it back and get him to look at it.
