ytzvrt 0
Hello everyone, and thanks for the welcoming messages. Well here is some pics. of my obd1 vrt. Am I using the right manifold if my car is a lhd, (its a spa)? Also I think the downpipe I got is wrong. And as far as engine management what shoulld I use for around 400hp.? -Please help me!!! Thanks- Whitey http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd295/twin409/IMG_0879.jpghttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd295/twin409/IMG_0878.jpg
FishWick 21
C2 Motorsports for your managment being as your US based ;-)SPA manifold should work, but the ATP one is FAR, FAR better made.
ytzvrt 0
Hey, thanks for your help. I'm just concerned about how far to the left the manifold discharches the turbo. I don't want the downpipe tp touch the master cylinder booster. And C2 only makes a chip for my ecu, which supports a max of 350 hp. My motor is much more capable, but standalone is like $2700.00. Is there a happy medium? Not sure.
6potmkII 0
clean engine, whats the spec?also what turbo you using?i thought c2 mapped the ecu to run up2 around the 16-17 psi... i would have thought ud make around the 400 mark with that...also this site states there fueling kits support upto 400bhphttp://www.ngpracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=C2-Fuel-S2&Category_Code=fuelkits

ytzvrt 0
Hey, 6spot, thanks for you input, I need all the help I can get! The motor is a 2.8 with 8.5 - 1 ross pistons, so no gasket spacer. ARP hardware around the house, stock cams and fuel pump, rising rate fpr, Avcr controller. Good looks on the C2 stuff, but I believe, that stage two kit is only for obd2, where I have obd1.
ytzvrt 0
Also the turbo is a t04,
ytzvrt 0
And kev, thanks for your help as well, I got jerked on a half assed kit and am pieceing it together, atp does seem the route, but if I go with the manifold this jerk-off sent me, then I might have to fabricate. W'ell see the motor is going in as soon as I get the trans back from my rebuilder. He's putt'in a peloquin lsd and full rebuild into it.
Phat VR6 3
Nice clean engine mate, Its off the subject but can I ask what youve painted you cylinder head with???
6potmkII 0
another option maybe, probably not the best compared to decent standalone, but if theres anybody in the u.s. that can map the standard management, it may be worth converting to obd2 as i beleive the bosch obd2 managment will support upto 400bhp if you can control inlet temps....as i say tuning wise, not as good as $2700 standalone, but maybe an option...if that downpipe cleares everything in the engine bay, shouldnt be too hard making a branch off to the wastegate? ytzvrt 0
Hey nice manifold. Looks familiar! The obd 2 set up might be what i'm lookin for, but all the sensors, wires, ecu......ERRRR what a pain, but I guess you're right, it's probably the only way. Thanks my man
MaidenVR6 26
C2 stop selling the 42# OBD1 set up. If you make yourself a custom 4" maf housing, and put your maf sensor in it, it might work to get someone to make you a chip. Unitronic maybe? Or you can hear with C2 if they have any options.Good luck.
ytzvrt 0
Anyone ever use this management?http://www.mapecu.co.nz/dealers.htmlIs it substantial enough? remember obd1
