Dragon6 0
Hi Guys are there any noticable gains in terms of power by fitting a performance exhaust to my VR6 low end mid range grunt would suit me better..if so which of the uusal brands is best and if any are worth getting which is the better which gives a decent exhaust note and nothing loud or booming inside the cabin.I have a full Scorpion system on my Rado G60 and it is just too damn loud if your`e going any distance..thanks for any input.. H19LNE 0
Jetex are good quality with a nice grunt when steppin on the throttle but very quiet under 3000 revs.
vr6madmike 0
Yup Jetex for me but I find mine loud at 2000rpm under load and quiet anyother time, sounds great through tunnels tho if you have induction too!
binliner 0
Hi Guys are there any noticable gains in terms of power by fitting a performance exhaust to my VR6not really... you might get a slightly higher figure on a rolling road but nothing you'd notice on the road... not worth the money on it's own imo
mannie 0
True, the replacement cost of the OEM xhorzt compeare to performance exhaust is a no brainer.
xyber 1
I had a cat back custom stainless and a bmc ind kit and it sounded awesome, I miss that sound, if i couldve kept the bmc with my charger I wouldve done
6potmkII 0
u mite notice a slight slight gain very high up in the rev range, but around town below 4000 revs ud probably more notice the loss in lower down torque.... id second not worth doing on its own performance wise however, depending on which one you get, may look nicer than the standard one
ben_notts 0
i can also vouch for the jetex - ive got cat back and its real subtle but sounds great when the toe goes down!
Dragon6 0
Thanks a lot for the input guys will keep the original system on till it falls off, then buy a Jetex cheers

H19LNE 0
I have a 3 box jetex system and it fits bang on my VR. No rattling or knocking issues even with 3 people in the rear with coilovers. Wicked quality u cant go wrong with jetex.
lewisvr6 0
awesome. thas good to hear cos mines prity low at the back. did u fit it urself??
H19LNE 0
Na i got it done by Midland VW which are up in cannock a chap called jody fitted it for me and advised me to go for a jettex rather than a miltek mainly because of fitting issues.
Buzzark 0
Supersprint exhausts tend to keep the OEM bore and couple it with better flowing boxes which means your less likely to lose any low end torque on a standard engine. They sound very OEM+ too.
vr6madmike 0
I fitted my Jetex myself, that was the easy bit, getting the old one off was the hard part!
ThermalP4 1
I'd never buy a Milltek againbased on the one i;ve just bought.Poor fit, knocking, and big ££££££ for it.Going to cost me a bit to put it right.
binliner 0
take it back to whoever fitted it... Ive had a milltek before and it fitted fine and wasnt that expensive either come to think of it!
