Red Rear Lights

Hi Guys, I got pulled over the other day for my german plates, and at the same time got told to change my all red rear clusters....which are cl lights, with a red tinted indicator section.

As i dont really want to do this, does anybody have any suggestions about how to get around it, I have heard that if you put a different colour bulb in....green for example....that combined with the red it flashes orange. or could i get away with what Standard ones do....red strips on either claer or orange to flash orange but look red.....?

buy proper red lights on ebay or venom etc, instead of spray tint ones

if you used a proper yellow bulb in the ones you have you may get away with them

I didnt think that you can get all reds anymore....hella used to do them....but are hard to find, and expensive.

i also tried an orangy yellow bulb in but still came out red

green bulbs make them a bit better but still wont get you through an mot... red hella ones are rubbish, they just look pink!

i will try the green bulb trick, as i have tinted the cls with a translucent red vinyl....it makes it the same colour as the rest....it might have a slightly different result to the painted ones.

Any ideas where to get bulb tint from, is it a halfords jobbie...?
