Fitting HT Leads

I have bought new leads to hopefully solve an arcing problem, looking over the engine the leads look pretty far down.. If i just pull the old leads out am i going to struggle to fit the replacements? They are standard vw replacement leads.. Is there a tool or technic to be used or do i just go for it? i dont want to damage anything by making a stupid mistake, cheers

Mate you need a lead removal tool like the one above to get them off.

You may already have one on your bonnet stay, it's black platstic thing aba 8" long oo er. The original ones are crap but you may get the job done.

get a metal one as the oiginal ones aye shite! worth getting the plug socket tool aswel, GSF do them both for about £20 all in

No probs mate thats what everyone is here for !!!! See the answers above you might be better off with a metal one.

Thanks all, there is a GSF 2 miles from me so hopefully arcing stops tomorrow!!
