manzi 0
the actual illumination shining down on to the dials can be easily done but are the rest of the illumination a pain to do, i've heard you have to solder new tiny and flat type of leds in.
mike 6
id like to do this,.are the instructions posted rich>? how does it differ for latre VR's?
xyber 1
with the heater controls its easy enough, just take the panel apart carefully, they are lit by a single tiny bulb that lights a clear plastic grid (like celis rings) an LED wont work though as they are too focused so you'll need a bulb from ebay aswell, Ive got an ultra bright LED in a the moment and its crap, havnt had time to swap for a blue bulb yet
richievr 1
id like to do this' date='.are the instructions posted rich>? how does it differ for latre VR's?[/quote']i have the instructions at work mike, but the later cars (1955 on) have led's soldered into the main board so are a real pain unless you are VERY good at soldering. :-( the early ones (like mine, woooooo!) have twist fit led's which makes it real easy!
