Marky 0
My VR6 has a Clifford immobiliser but I don't have any installation certificate. I'm sure I'm going to need this for my insurance. How can I sort this out? Should I contact Clifford? The previous owner says he didn't have a certificate for it. Maybe I should write to the original owner?
Mackenzie 6
i had the same problem with my last golf. What i did was locate my nearest clifford alarm fitter and asked him if he could give me a certificate for it. He said bring the car down to him so he could check it over, which i did, took about 15 mins and i paid him £20 or £25 (can't remember) and he gave me the certificate, which i needed to bring my insurance down.Hope that helps.
