binliner 0
All Corrado ones will be OBD1... the only car that came with a 2.9 OBD2 (afaik) is a late golf syncro
daleyboyVR6 6
All Corrado's are obd1 , mines a l994 but has a lot of obd 2 parts on it, the only thing i can think of is that maybe the throttle body wont fit cos golf and rado TB are different so you may need a rado TB to fit. This is from what ive read on this site but someone with more practical experience may have more accurate info for you................... :-p
dirtydave 0
oh right i didnt know that about the corado, dam pants,

Roan 0
I have a part polished, modified OBD2 manifold (modded by removing the chambers like the Corrado one). It may be for sale for the right price...

Roan 0
I don't really know what it's worth! Once I get some feedback on another thread I'll let you know if I'm willing to sell and for what price. Cheers!
philbatesvr6 0
didnt think you could open out the hambers in the inlet manifold on a odb2 as the under side its jus a casting mark the make it fill the space on top of the engine if you no wat i mean?and it thought you could buy an adapter plate so you can fit an odb2 throtle body to a odb1 manifold ? daleyboyVR6 6
You may be on to something with the adaptor thing ive heard that as well would an obd2 2.8 engine work ok with a 2.9 obd1 TB ?.............. :-p

dirtydave 0
i was told that it wouldnt work as the obd1 tb is not electronic like the obd2 tb
dirtydave 0
the inlet can be done its just time and patience, ya have to cut out the main restrictive part and smoothe out all the ridges, and get a plate welded over the area
