rikkirw 0
Hello everybody peeps Im looking to buy some lowered and uprated springs, and was wondering how low i should go?And what brands are good and not so good?.Any advice please.
binliner 0
whats your budget?how low you go is up to your tastes (and what size wheels you've got!) but if you want it low go for coilovers... fk konigsports are excellent for the price (about £550) and are height and damping adjustableIf you just want it lowered a bit and improved handling koni top adjustable shocks with eibach springs are a good package (£400 ish I think)
acf8181 0
mines too low now.i prefered the ride hieight on my o.e. shocks and avo springs, the bilstein kit has lowered it more, and i keep hitting stuff.
rikkirw 0
Its already got koni sports on there, but the last owner put standard springs back on it?But i aint convinced that the koni's are happy on them.Would the koni's be to short for standard springs? andy 0
I have Koni top adjustable shocks and Eibach springs, the handling is much improved but I personally think the ride is a little too harsh. Plenty of people say that their ride is perfectly smooth with the same setup though, I can only assume the roads they drive on must be very much better than the roads I drive on. If I was to do it again I would still use Koni shocks but a slightly softer spring.
Macca 1
Theres a group buy going to happen in the next few weeks over on CGTI, with Konigsports adjustable coilovers going for 525 quid, you can have them as low/high hard/soft as you like, and would be my choice. six appeal 53
I have the FK konigsport on mine and can't rate them highly enough! You can lower it as much as you like, and believe me I have! Ride is better then my old Koni/Eibach set up (as in pic on sig) and its now even lower!
rikkirw 0
Well i think i will try some lowered springs first, only about 40mm cos thats my cheapest option. Then if that dont stop my banging on the back i may well go for the coilovers Best start saving i think :@ Cheers for the ideas 8o)
