binliner 0
It is possible... is it worth it? depends on what you want, there's cheaper ways of getting more power but if you want to stay n/a it is.Grant motorsport are the people to talk to
nezzi21 27
what kinda power is possible on itb's? would prefer to keep it n/a. not totally ruling out forced induction just looking at all options
chazrad 16
Some of you will have seen that red Vento VR6 running throttle bodies, that had coverage ina VW magazine last year. It was also at E38. There are a couple of clips of it, albeit short ones, on YouTube, and it sounds fantastic. A great mod if you want to stay NA...Also there don't seem to be many VRs out there running them, so its a bit different too.

chazrad 16
I'd phone Vince at Stealth for starters, and ask him what he thinks re power, costs, work required, etc.

FishWick 21
Some of you will have seen that red Vento VR6 running throttle bodies' date=' that had coverage ina VW magazine last year. It was also at E38. [/quote']But that's an R32 engine, which is nicer to throttle body as the injectors are in the head and it has 300cc more capacity to help combat the lack of bottom end torque TBs with short trumpets give. That runs DTA management and was mapped (open loop) by Dave Greenald (IIRC) down in kent somewhere.I think it fits in with the owner's stipped out minimalist approach but it's not my bag. The R32 needs that stock intake and variable valve timing (can't run either with DTA, or the DBW throttle) imo as that's where half it's charisma comes from.
