Had the car battery checked last week and was told oki did notice the oddometer the numbers for the mileage flashes and goes blank off and on and then when the cars running and started the oddometer is fine and goes back to normalnow how long should a cars battery last without daily use?do u think i have a drain or a short or is it a Alternator problem or do i just need a new batteryplease please help and advice! xyber 1 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Share Posted January 27, 2008 Stick in a new decent quality battery is the best place to start, I fitted the highest cranking power one I could find that would fit in the little case, made a massive diferenceWhenever I buy a car I always stick a monster, decent battery in pretty soon as its one of thoses things people skimp on, better of spending £50 on one thatll last, than £25 on a cheapo one Link to post Share on other sites

patpong_pete 0 Posted January 27, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 27, 2008 battery has been on 1 year but has 2 year warrantyi only do 3,000 miles a year maybe i need to use the car morei will look into the voltmeter very handy for winter timehow long should a new full charged battery last 30 days before it goes flat i have clifford concept 50 alarmshould i jump start and take it for a good runshould i get me new battery charger and fully charge again(did this last week but just did not use day for 5 days)or just go and buy new battery and see if that works ?
