Ciaran 4
Right my car refused to start a while agodone diognostics and it came up with1-00513 Engine Speed Sensor - G28 - Idle RPM Too Low00513 Engine Speed Sensor - G28 - Idle RPM Too High00513 Engine Speed Sensor - G28 - Signal Malfunction2-00668 Battery Power Voltage Supply (Terminal 30)I know the engine speed sensor clears when the car is running so can ignore thatIs this defo the crank sensor cos 514 says crank position sensor where as 513 is engine speed sensor so are they both the same sensor or not??I have tried a new crank shaft sensor to no availThe low voltage is a presume cos my battery is half flat it cleared as i was jumping the car at the time of checking. The car has no spark as far as i can tell so could it be the coilpack or something?? thegoth 5
They are not the same sensor. Crank position ( 00514 ) has the ID# G4, where as the engine speed is G28.I used to believe that the 00513 was automatic on a stopped engine, but have since found that that info only applies to pre 1996 ECUs

Ciaran 4
Right i have now replaced the cam and crank shaft sensors to no avail. Suspected the immobiliser but have been told it is not this as the car would start and then cut out. What i have checked isThe fuel pump worksThere are no fault codes\I have 12v going to the coilpack when the ignitionis onI have no sparkSo it is eigther the coilpack or an ECU problemAny other checks would be welcome??
