blackmagicvr 7
28 is a nut? does the new coilovers not come with them?
SankysVR6 1
It comes with locking nut, but i think thats part number 24.
daleyboyVR6 6
28 looks like a nut which hold the spring plate down, these are already fitted on coilovers then as craig said i put the top mount with bearing poked it through the hole in the chassis then fitted 23 and 24 ( top plate and nut ).......................... :-p
Matt W 4
Just fitted mine at the weekend (KW Inox V1's)I got the following parts from VW2128252930There should be no need for 26 as the coilover kit should have its own part for this that is relevant to the design of which ever set of coilovers you've got.On mine part 28 does not come with the coilovers, well yes and no actually. All that comes is a locking nut but to avoid stripping my old suspension and using the nut from that i just got a new pair of nuts at the same time. As if i remember the VW nut is a lower profile than the locking nut which will come with your kit and the VW nut also has a washer as well.Hope this helps!
SankysVR6 1
Cheers guys for the replies, Can't believe i couldn't find a decent guide on the net with a full breakdown of what parts are needed. But this has cleared all that up, going to order the new parts from the dealers as it will save me stripping the old front struts down.
