craggsy 91
Right which bolts on subframe do I have to undo to lower it down to get ARB out......kinda guessing its 3 near ARB and one other big on e that you have to use a sucket on thro the wishbone.Anyone confirm this as don't want to take out wrong ones. Oh and what size socket 3/4" went on ok but i'm thinking 18mm might be better but I only have 17 and 19mm sockets.I really don't want to pay someone to do this as its quite easy to do by the looks of it.Cheers
Dave Lea 4
2 that go through the wish bone u can take off the 2 that u need to have a extention on a socket to go throughthe middle of the wish not the bushed part loosen them 1 each side that will lower it to get the arb out
Big J 283
3/4 = 19mm
craggsy 91
3/4 = 19mmI know that as I work with measurements all day. I wanted to know if an 18mm socket is the right size for the job
craggsy 91
Right Dave so let me get this straight the 2 bolts on subframe towards front i loosen, and the ones near wear ARB sits above subframe can come out. I'll dig a pic out and point them out
craggsy 91
Right i'm thinking bolts 5 and
ChrisP 0
go for the front bolts first, take them all the way out, then thread then back in a few turns so they will support the subframe when you take the rear bolts out. Removal of the arb should be relatively easy, but take your time when putting the replacement in, especially if the arb bushes are new, I would expect you to swear a lot, there isnt much room, and the bush needs to be squashed a little when the clamp is in, so its a bit of a pain to do
craggsy 91
So front one would be where hole is above left of the number 5. So many questions as there are so many down there
craggsy 91
Also been told that the bolts have to be replaced each time. true/false?
