just2zang 0
Well I have avoided coming on the forum because of all the problems with the car and lack of monies to fix the bugger. Anyways i some how managed to set the airbag light off running cables doen the passenger side of the car, when I found my phono lead to be faulty. Problem was I had taped the bugger to the remote lead so well that when i replaced it, i probably yanked something. I have had a check but all wiring seems ok.. The ignition was on while i was changing the lead and testing.. I was getting interference when the car was started. So the question is how do i clear the code and any ideas what i have done? VR6Steve 0
Get the fault codes read. Possibly interfered with the wiring to the passenger airbag?
dubloke 4
that would be my guess, running the cables down behind the console and up the middle of the car should be the route for rca cables, no need to be going behind the passenger airbag really as that will lead to interference from the electriacal system behind there, the main loom for the car runs down that side and to the rear! i always find that a bent open coat hanger is an ideal tool for guiging wires to and from the head unit to behind and under the dash, much easier than trying to poke them through on their own!
