s3 Rich 0 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Share Posted February 22, 2008 tried a cheap chip in the vr6 today & it did not work, now the old chip will not work & all of the electrics inside the car seems to be going haywire!!looks like an expensive bugger up.I will be calling the tatter yards this weekend, chance of getting a 93-95 vr6 ecu is slim i'd think, so is it the same as anything else, ie sharan or galaxy?Richard. s3 Rich 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2008 I think I have actually knackered the tracks on the pcb, as I had to unsolder the old chip & fit a chip holder, the old chip was a bit of a git to get out, would it be viable to try & get this fixed at an electronics specialist, or am I wasting my time?
