How the hell do I get into my car to charge/Change the battery ?I remember seeing something about removing the front grill ? Does this require breaking it off :-( ?

Earwig 89
jack it up and get power to the starter motor/alternator with jump leads and another battery or a jumpstarter pack.I might try and give this a go, only trouble is that the car is so low I need to drive it onto blocks in order to get a jack under it :-(Damn these stupid modded cars, who's idea were they ? Got me some G12 now so can swap header tank nice and easy :-)I am now thinking if I can get my front splitter off the car I might just be able to get power to the starter motor which in turn would get to the battery. All I need is enough power for the alarm to get the locks undone and then I can pop the bonnet and I will be happy :-)If I leave the alarm it does beep, just does not open. I know it's the battery as I had to Jump start it last Monday to but at least the battery had the power to unlock the doors ! I guess the sub zero temps killed the battery totally :-(Mark. Phat VR6 3
If you use the jack that comes with the car you can get it high enuff to get a trolly jack under it.I use a tool i made. 1 meter long metal rule will a hole in the end, Stiff wire, Loop it though the hole in the end of rule to make loop, Have the end of the wire longer than the ruleHole door open at top edge, Slide the rule indside the door dragging the loop on the inside of the window (holding the wire in your other hand) Once loop goes over door pin pull wire tight and pull up with rule holding wire tight pulling up door pin up.Easy 15 seconds tops once you done it once Please dont tell me that it bends the door or damages paint work as it doesn't (everyone seems to tell me this lol)Hope that helps tom

Since I never go in my boot due to it's somewhat Un-Usefulness to me due to lack of space, it may indeed have died a good while ago At least it wasn't snowing though ;-)Mark.
