swaper 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 After installing the Stage 2 goodies on my VR, and i started enjoying the car, yesterday after replacing all water hoses with samco's, i noticed that the engine was not running as good as few hours ago !!!The engines missfires and you have a feeling like there is water into the distributor cap ! It starts immediately, it run very smooth at idle, but when you press the pedal , it seems that the firing order and the spark timing is from ... another car! So far i changed the coil but nothing happened. Since the last 2 weeks i run brand new leads. ( I need to know the right coil part Nr for 2.8 OBD1 if available ) .... Any suggestions ???? 6potmkII 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Report Share Posted February 28, 2008 check the spark plugs on most of my vr engines, it was down to plugs, leads or afm... might not be anything you have touched maybe just a coincidence...maybe check connection of all sensors aswell ie coolant temp sensor, afm etc... swaper 0 Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2008 I solve the problem .... Very stupid situation !!The air intake hose was removed from the charger due to a sudden hit on the air filter ( at the bottom of the car !!! ) ....... Link to post Share on other sites
