shail 0
I'm trying to drain my coolant by removing the bottom rad hose, but I'm getting no where near 10 litres out of the system - more like 5 Litres. Where is it hiding? and is there anything I can do to get the rest out?I need to flush it all as its a very murky colour and has been for years, regardless of changing the coolant. bugsy 0
Best taken out your thermostate and take on of one pipes off your heatre matrix, attach a water hoes to the matrix and flush it out,it would flush cleaner with a steam cleaner but you would have to turn the preasure down or you will soak (um) your self or worse burn :@ , Do the same to the rad ,take care. shail 0
Well I need to replace the thermostat anyway as I think its sticking. I just can't seem to find the drain plug on the crack pipe. How's best to access it?
VR6_Absy 0
crack pipe runs across the front of the engine and drain plug is over towards the left, near the alternator. You need to get at it from underneath with skinny arms or long screwdriver. Be careful cus its all plastic.I made up a funnel with a cut up plastic bottle and bit of garden hose (Blue Peter Stylee) cus it goes everywhere.
