dubdub 0
IMO Stay with original. Mines on the original after 11plus!
vr6madmike 0
Weld tips on the original, Jetex is quiet but not as silent as the original, or just get a backbox made up
sticks 0
so you reckon use all original exhaust and put nicer back box on it,any good make you lot can recomend or model that will fit on as an upgrade but not making the car sound like a beast
xyber 1
tell powerflow/longlife what your after and they'll knock one up
binliner 0
have you ever been to powerflow?! quiet is not something they can do. It's either loud, louder or really loud
sticks 0
really is worth going there then binliner?
purple highline monster 0
I had a jetex on my VR, and have one on my corrado too, very good systems and sound nice virtually silent on tick over just a nice burble and even at speed there is no dronning in the car etc, sounds mean and perposefull when you open the taps up though
binliner 0
really is worth going there then binliner?I had a powerflow fitted once to one of my old VR6s... I asked for a subtle exhaust note and came away with something that was poorly welded and embarassingly loud... so in a word... no!I've also had Hayward & Scott which wasa lovely sounding exhaust but very expensiveDoes the original system need replacing? If not just change the backbox. I've kept my original exhaust on this time round but when it goes will probably get a jetex
vdubgirl 3
I vote Remus but by the sounds of things that would be to noisy for you. I have jetex system on my Mk2VR6 which is very subtle

HiPurVR6 0
I have the standard system with tail pipes welded on, looks good but sounds standard. I'm going for a jetex next month as they arent much louder but just give a really nice tone. All the best!!
jws vr6 0
Jetex and miltek are both supposed to be pretty quiet when taking it easy, but give a better sound when you nail it. Im thinking to get a jetex system and decat soon as my exhaust is just about sh*ged!! Looks to still be the original though so it done well!
big_si 0
Don't know if you're into your fabrications but mine is running Toureg backbox (don't know if it's full system as it was on there when I got it!) and it sounds amazing IMO.Just a little burble on tickover but she sings when you nail it.It's quiet enough that when I turn up at my dad's he doesn't know I'm there till I walk in the door!!
