VR6 VDF 0
lol so I posted a while ago about a clicking sound in 1st gear and thought its most probabaly got a tooth missing.I got back from work on friday to find what now feels like 75% of the teeth on the gear now broken off! When I put it in first to set it, it catches the gear and moves then stops, then when that bit comes back round moves again! I can also hear the rest of the pieces rattling away in the 'box when im driving! The rest of the gears are fine. Anyway, Ive read up about changing the 5th gear sprocket cog thing over to a different one and I assume you can do this to the rest of the gears? Can I just change the 1st gear cog over to a new one instead of buying a whole new box as the rest of the rests are fine?also if I open the bottom drain plug, will the bits come falling out?! if not, how do I get them out? thanks
bulldog 2
I'd personally search for a good second hand gearbox and fit that, you'll have it off the road less time that way.
